Allies for Orphans is an original business concept by me and my peers. The business is a non profit organization focused on pushing people to get involved with child welfare by encouraging them to adopt, foster, or donate. Once we defined our business we were to create billboards to gather attention and inform our audience of as to what we did and how to get involved. We wanted our audience to be inspired to act rather than gather petty and making them feel bad for the kids. Our message needed to let them know that there's more than one way to get involved and help. We wanted to ensure that our designs would not only catch our viewer's attention but inspire them to act thereafter. Our designs needed this capability on top of being professional and unique.
My part in the project was to create the logo which would be displayed on each of the billboards. The logo was to encompass the company in a simple design that could speak on the purpose even when alone. The logo is a red heart shaped ribbon that resembles that of a human figure when combined with the O in Orphans
I also created one of the billboards and a mockup. The billboard displays a little girl holding hands of two figures who are missing from her life and the statement "You Complete the picture". This billboard included contact information and the company slogan Adopt Foster Donate. This billboard was then turned into a mockup to display the final product possibilities of a completed billboard.
